The Etowah Eagles went up against the Westlake Lions Friday night in the first round of the the state playoffs. The Eagles performed well during the first half of the game with a halftime score of 17-7 with Etowah having a clear lead. The Lions came back strong though for the second half of the game and ended up winning the game in the last 45 seconds with a final score of 24-23. A great effort was produced by both teams throughout the entire game. Congratulations to Westlake on their well deserved victory & a congratulations to Etowah for a great season.
